The ones shown of course are weaved in CF. But the original E36 M3 coupe side mirrors are listed as compatible as well. Perhaps it's just a matter of availability or a sheer count of votes why the E36 design is preferred. But I'd like to think there's a link to aerodynamic efficiency.
